A message from Tech!
I have been getting a lot of emails from people not happy with certain aspects of the chat rooms, mainly personal differences. I am extremely busy behind the scenes trying to make the site better, faster and more secure.
I am also working on promotion of the site to generate more income so that I can move the site forward. Everything is very time consuming and I am neglecting my own personal matters so that I can keep the site running smoothly.
We have been using the same old software to run the chat rooms for over 3 years and it has become dated. There are many problems that I think need sorting out with the technical side of things. For example..
- Private message boxes opening all the time when you don’t want them.
- Login boxes taking a long time to load.
- Everyone has to enter the main chat room to get to another room.
- Moderating the chat has become difficult as we get busier.
- The chat rooms look dated and are sometimes lagging.
- Some people don’t get on with others, but the main room is where everyone meets.
I have searched for different software, installed, tested and searched more. There is one software that I keep coming back to, Flashcoms Community Chat.
All the above problems will be fixed.
These are the features..
- Firewall protection -
Adding more protection to your chat along with the currently installed server firewall. Not really needed but a good feature to make our chat the safest on the net! - Multilingual -
I can use this to make sure other language speaking people will stay out of the English speaking chat rooms unless they want to speak English! - Youtube video player -
You will be able to put your Youtube links into a box and it will play in the chat room for all to see. - Private Messages -
Private messages can be blocked by blocking any user you do not want to talk to. No more annoying pm boxes popping up! - Private Chat Rooms -
Create a private chat room and password protect it. - Registration is not necessary, but if you do, you get your own control panel with loads of options that will eliminate all of the annoying things!
- Login not to main room -
When you login to the chat, you log in to a room list and not straight into main. If you have created a private room, that room will show in the list. - Friends list and block list -
Block anyone you like or have a friends list so that you know when and where they are online. - MP3 Player
- Customize the colours to suit what you want.
- Right click user menus -
Right click any chatter to block them etc, easy menu. - Vote to kick -
My favorite! Don’t like a chatter in the room, you can all vote to kick them out!
There are over 100 different things to list so I am stopping there!

Hosting $189,99 per month
FMS (Webcams) $320 per year
Domain names: Liveonlinechat .NET .BIZ .CO .CO.UK .EU .INFO .ORG and .US $100 per year.
Hosting for the extra domains $59 per month.
The extra domains are to keep the .NET stronger and keep people from stealing our content, this is very important.
There are various other small costs such as software and my social life, so the total cost per year is around $3,400 USD.

So as you can see, we have progressed a lot over the last 3 years from a shared hosting account to a dedicated top notch server!

This is the problem, many of our regular chatters are leaving because of personal problems with others. Some people don’t like the chat how it is anymore and I am one of them, as in I don’t like the software, I love the people, most of them!
The new version is going to cost just over the $1,100 USD mark with some extra modules and guaranteed working installation. I would do this today but I only have around half the money to do it. You can wait another month if you wish and I will have it purchased and installed or you can help with donations. I hate to ask for donations but as soon as I have the other half of the funds, you will get the perfect chat site!
