First of all i moved your post to the computer section as you posted it in Introductions, if you are new here please introduce yourself.

Ok, Have you tried a system restore?
Restore your system to a time before the virus infected and your anti virus software stopped responding.. to do this..

Go to start... control panel....
Security... select System and Maintenance from the left task menu (on win vista)..
chose ... Backup and Restore Center.... click on... "use system restore to fix problems and undo changes to windows"

Follow the restore wizard and select a time before the problem occured!
If your on a different O/S let me know.
