  I use my neighbors internet signal "unsecured" from my laptop. I want to use my desk top on the internet as well. What i want to do is connect my desk top to my laptop via the ethernet cable and use my laptop as the host. is this possible? i have tried to do it through the wizards on xp, but it doesnt seem to work. can any one help?

  thats not possible, but its possible to use wifi on desktop if u have an "WiFi Dongle" [it is like USB stick].

  I only know of modem and a router to use WI-Fi. You could also access internet through free wi-fi hotspots such as hotel, coffee shops and airport..
